About

Interactive media has always intrigued me. Design was my initial path toward working with that. Full stack development, however, has empowered me to build more than what design alone could have. Combined, the two areas have created a strong skillset for providing services to companies ranging from Fortune 100 corporations to small businesses.

In short, I love design, but development is my true passion.

My history with the web ranges from building eLearning courses, to creating static HTML sites, to creating an interactive quiz game, to developing sites powered by Drupal 8 and WordPress. A selection of that work can be found featured here and on my CodePen page. More information about my career can be found in my LinkedIn profile.

Web

The following is a selection of live websites I’ve developed on my own and as a member of a team.

IMN Inc.

Goal:

Rebuilt IMNInc.com as a modern, responsive, mobile-first website powered by the Drupal 8 CMS, so that marketing authors and graphic designers could be in control of their content.

Tech:

  • Drupal 8
  • JavaScript
  • jQuery
  • Sass
  • Schema
  • Twig

Role:

Lead the pixel perfect styling portion of development. Was the primary force behind implementing a global function for handling all hide/show functionality. Determined the semantic markup and Schema implementation for accessibility and SEO purposes.

Bonus:

Was one of two primary developers on this site; it was completed in three months.

Naked Lime Marketing

Goal:

Rebuilt NakedLime.com as a modern, responsive, mobile-first website powered by a more maintainable CMS than the previous site used. This site was scoped to feature interactive content and non-distracting animations as appropriate.

The ability to allow content authors and graphic designers to create custom pages for online campaigns was added at the same time that it was to ReyRey.com.

Tech:

  • Drupal 8
  • JavaScript
  • jQuery
  • Sass
  • Schema
  • Twig

Role:

Created and styled pixel perfect pages and interactive components. Developed Drupal content types and views as necessary. Determined how semantic markup and Schema would be implemented throughout the site for accessibility and SEO purposes. Helped shape changes to the Sass system that was being used, based on what was learned during the ReyRey.com rebuild. Was the lead developer on the responsive, interactive tables for the OEM pages.

Bonus:

This site was completed two months ahead of schedule.

Reynolds & Reynolds

Goal:

Rebuilt ReyRey.com as a modern, corporate-oriented, responsive, mobile-first website powered by the Drupal 8 CMS, so that content authors and graphic designers could be in control of their own content. This site would be used to market the products within the Reynolds & Reynolds “Retail Management System.”

Later, the ability for custom pages to be built for online marketing campaigns, including interactive quizzes was added.

Tech:

  • Drupal 8
  • JavaScript
  • jQuery
  • Sass
  • Schema
  • Twig

Role:

Developed content types, including custom Drupal back office functionality. Styled pages and components as necessary. Added and advised on the addition of Schema and a site map for SEO purposes.

Later, created a customizable quiz game with a variety of optional features and minimal restrictions. Handled the building of the content type, the creation of the custom back office functionality, the front end JavaScript functionality, and the styling of this game. Included was a contact form that, when submitted, will include information on the user’s actions while taking the quiz, their submitted answers, and their final grade.

Bonus:

Was the sole developer for the quiz game’s JavaScript, Drupal back office set-up, and most of the styling.

Preveiling Touch, LLC.

Goal:

A responsive, mobile-first website built for a holistic therapy company. This project is currently in-progress and will have new renditions published in the upcoming months.

Tech:

  • HTML
  • JavaScript
  • Sass

Role:

Designed the site’s look and structure, styled it, programmed the functionality, and added the content.

Bonus:

This has been a solo project where I’ve worked directly with the client. This site will be moving to Drupal 8 in the near future.

Skrobeckett, LLC.

Goal:

Built a responsive, mobile-first placeholder website for sharing general information about the company and signing people up for an email newsletter.

Tech:

  • Ajax
  • CSS
  • HTML
  • jQuery

Role:

Designed the site’s look, created its structure, styled it, set-up the form, and wrote the initial content.

Bonus:

This was a solo project.
